Back to School Time!
School will be in session during the morning of Wednesday, August 13th for Garden City Public Schools. This is the first day of school for the 2025-26 school year for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, seventh grade, ninth and tenth grades and all students new to the district. No breakfast or lunches will be served on this day at the schools.
Jennie Barker Elementary School and other schools are encouraging sixth graders to attend school on August 13th. This will help the students at those schools get prepared for the start of the school year.
There will be no school in the afternoon on August 13th for a scheduled workday for teachers in the district. The district offices and facilities will be open with regular business hours on Wednesday.
The first full day of school will be Thursday, August 14, 2025. All classes will be in session for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
